A Modern TV Cabinet and Fireplace for the Living Room

Step by step guide
Preparation
Make a drawing of how you want it. Make sure you measure everything correctly. I ordered the MDF boards from OPMAATZAGEN.nl, and I just got the slats from the hardware store. If you calculate in advance (approximately) how many slats you need, it will save you an extra trip to the hardware store.
Montage
- First mount the 2 long slats on the wall. I used 3 screws per slat, that's enough. Of course, also measure the distance well and make sure it hangs straight. I used a laser for this. Then attach the short slats. I used 2 screws per slat, 1 diagonally from above and 1 diagonally from below. Then the 2 long slats at the front and the slats across the width at the front. When all the slats are attached, you can screw the MDF onto it.
Finish
If you are going to paint, first smooth the screws and seams. We have wallpapered with wallpaper that was quite thick. We glued this on immediately. Because the wallpaper is thick, the screw holes and seams are not visible.
