IKEA hack: Easily make a long sofa yourself

We made a long sofa with 2 pine panels (height: 40 mm) and 7 kitchen cabinets (Metod) from Ikea. This is now in our dining room.

Work description: how did you realize your project

We installed 7 small, white kitchen cabinets (with doors) from IKEA. The cabinets were screwed together. The two pine panels were first sanded and then painted with colorless interior stain. The pine panels were then glued to the IKEA cabinets. After 24 hours we made the sofa level. We needed two days for this project, and now we have a beautiful sofa for the whole family in our dining room.
