An antique hanging cupboard converted into a cupboard with shelves, by Frank

Frank has pimped his antique wardrobe. He needed more storage space, so he chose to make shelves in this antique cupboard. By ordering custom sawn panels, it is very easy to pimp your antique cupboard yourself.

We turned an antique wardrobe into a wardrobe by installing matching shelves. We stained the shelves and then varnished them to get a nice result.

How I made this project

First we took the dimensions of the shelves we needed. We have installed battens and intermediate slats in the cupboard. We then made the planks of the ordered custom planks to fit each plank, removing the corners. We then stained the planks with mahogany stain. We did this in two layers. After the stain had dried, we stained the planks. We spent a total of 2 days on the job and the result is impressive. A beautiful antique cupboard converted from a hanging cupboard into a cupboard, which we can now use practically. We hope you enjoy it. It should work, thanks to this handy webshop.
